In case you were wondering what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were up to this weekend, they were in Lincolnshire attending the wedding of one of the Spencer cousins. On Saturday, Celia McCorquodale, daughter of the late Princess of Wales’s sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, married George Woodhouse.
Also in attendance was Earl Spencer (Diana’s brother) and his third wife:
Lady Kitty Spencer, the Earl’s eldest daughter from his first marriage, was also photographed.
Everyone else, including the bride and groom, I’m going to skip photographs of. Earl Spencer and Kitty have enough of a public profile that I’m going to call it fair game, but otherwise let’s focus on Harry and Meghan.
And by “Harry and Meghan” I mean Meghan’s dress. I really like the idea of this and I’m generally a fan of toile in the right circumstances, but this is not quite working for me. Mainly it just looks huge? At some angles the looseness works, but at others it does genuinely look a size too big for her.
Anywho, it’s by Oscar de la Renta and she paired it with a white fascinator from Marks & Spencer and reportedly the same heels she wore at her wedding.
With that, we’ll turn to the Order of the Garter ceremony later today and Ascot tomorrow. Fingers crossed Kensington Palace announces new engagements soon!
