Harry & Meghan Arrive in Tonga [UPDATED]

Now, here’s an arrival! This afternoon saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex touch down in Tonga where they will stay for 24 hours before returning to Sydney. This arrival hit all the notes that their first appearance in Fiji was lacking – sartorially, at least.

Meghan is wearing a bespoke red floral pleated dress by Self-Portrait, a label that we’ve seen the Duchess of Cambridge feature on a few occasions, but I can’t recall off-hand whether we’ve ever seen Meghan in it.

As you can see from photos, she’s wearing the same Manolo Blahnik heels and carrying the same Dior clutch that she did for the earlier engagement in Fiji, so it was a quick costume change mid-air.

One fatal flaw to what would have otherwise been a smooth landing was that unfortunately a tag was left on Meghan’s dress. Le sigh. Anyway, the couple will meet with King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipauʻu this afternoon, and then are on tap for a formal reception and dinner. I’ll update in the AM.
