The Duchess of Cambridge carried out an engagement with Family Action in Lewisham today. Her presence marked the launch of a new “FamilyLine” hotline that will be nationally available throughout England, while the visit itself included meetings with staff and volunteers associated with the organization.
Family Action works directly with families, including children, on a range of issues, including addiction and mental health issues – two pillars of the Kensington Palace quartets’ work. The group’s focus on supporting families and children, of course, aligns with Kate’s focus areas.
KP shared video from one of the informal chats Kate took part in:
Today Kate wore a new green dress by Beulah, a brand started by a family friend of the Cambridges, Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs, to support victims of human trafficking in India. Kate has worn other dresses by the label over the years, including during her 2016 tour of India with William.
There’s no word yet on Kate’s next engagement, nor the Duchess of Sussex’s for that matter, but I would flag that the BAFTAs are on Sunday, Feb. 10 this year so our first black tie moment of 2019 may well be fast approaching. I’ll keep you posted as new engagements are announcements.
