Yesterday the Palace confirmed a rumor that’s been circulating for weeks – the Duchess of Sussex guest-edited British Vogue’s September Issue, using the platform to highlight causes she’s passionate about. According to the Sussexes’ Instagram post, the issue is called “Forces for Change” and includes such features as an interview between Meghan and former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, a conversation between the Duke of Sussex and Dr. Jane Goodall, and essays from people like Brené Brown and Jameela Jamil.

Prince George of Cambridge is six years old! Last Sunday, to mark the occasion, Kensington Palace released three new photos of George. The two showing him in his England football jersey were taken last month by the Duchess of Cambridge in Kensington Gardens.

Harry & Meghan Attend The Lion King Premier, Meet Beyonce & Jay-Z

Last night the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the London premier of The Lion King, and in a moment made for the cameras, the couple came face-to-face with a different kind of royalty – Beyonce and Jay-Z. Meghan’s presence last night was long-expected despite still being on maternity leave, and last week it was confirmed. Given Beyonce’s work in the film, it was widely expected these two would finally meet, which was hotly anticipated given not only their mutual celebrity, but the fact that Beyonce and Jay-Z have long made clear their support for the new duchess.

Kate Presents Her First Trophy as Wimbledon Patron

On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the men’s final at Wimbledon, as has become tradition. And I have to say, while Kate always seems pleased to be at Wimbledon, she looks particularly animated and relaxed whenever she’s attending with William. This year was a particularly special as Kate, for the first time in her capacity as royal patron, handed out the winning trophy to Novak Djokovic.

It’s Double Duchesses at Wimbledon

On Friday, Kensington Palace announced that the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex would attend the Ladies’ Single Final of the Wimbledon championships together on Saturday. I wouldn’t say this was a surprise, but it was certainly welcome news, and, taken alongside the show of family unity during last week’s polo match, it’s clear there’s a collective push to put the so-called “feud” behind the four younger royals and start fresh.

Kate & Meghan Take Their Kids to Support William & Harry at Charity Polo Match [UPDATED]

I think a few of us were hoping that this would happen! To the delight of onlookers, the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex joined their husbands at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Berkshire with their children. This is the first time Archie Mountbatten-Windsor has been photographed alongside his Cambridge cousins, and in fact it marks his first “appearance” outside of his formal presentation and christening. Even more, it was a nice and much-needed display of family unity following several months of negative reporting.

Will the Queen Implement the Regency Act in Two Years?

Royal author and journalist Phil Dampier told Yahoo this week that there’s “talk” the Queen will turn over the reins of power to the Prince of Wales in two years, when she turns 95. The move wouldn’t be an abdication, but would rather bring the Regency Act into effect – the Queen would still be queen, and Charles would take over the  majority of the work.

It’s Not a Good Week For Andrew

I tend to stay away from the York family, and for good reason. With the exception of Princess Eugenie’s wedding last year, all too often the stories swarming around them are pretty negative. This week is no different in light of news that disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein was arrested, bringing back into the spotlight his longstanding relationship with the Queen’s second son, the Duke of York.

How Diana Was Included in Archie’s Christening

Ok, I usually hate articles that needlessly loop in Diana, Princess of Wales, but there were a few very apparent nods to her yesterday that I didn’t mention and I think are worth calling out.

Archie is Christened at Windsor

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was christened in the private chapel at Windsor Castle this morning. The ceremony was officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury before 25 guests making up the couple’s closest friends and family. The Queen wasn’t able to attend due to a long-standing commitment with the Duke of Edinburgh at Sandringham, however the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall made it back from their week of engagements in Wales.
