Harry & Meghan Attend the Australian Geographic Society Awards

What a dress! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to Australia yesterday after three days in Fiji and Tonga. As we speak, they are carrying out engagements commemorating the close of the Invictus Games, but last night they attended a gala for the Australian Geographic Society Awards at which both took the stage.

The couple presented awards throughout the evening, while Harry also accepted an award on behalf of his grandmother, the Queen. Harry, like his father, the Prince of Wales, is passionate about environmental and conservation issues, as was on show during his speech.

Harry and Meghan were late arriving to the gala after a delayed flight from Tonga, but I think their sheer star wattage and, well, Meghan’s dress more than made up for it. Over the summer, she chose another oversized floral number from the fashion house that was widely panned by critics – tonight more than made up for it.

The black and white bird print and the cut of the bodice don’t actually do much for me, but the tulle skirt is so gorgeous it more than makes up for it in my book. She looks like a very glamorous cloud and I’m here for it. An ID on the earrings are TBD, but the heels are Aquazzura.

You know, there was a moment in the second quarter of this tour where I was starting to get worried Meghan was wobbling a bit on the fashion front, but these last couple of days have been a winning streak in my (occasionally) humble opinion. Here’s to hoping she ends on a strong note in New Zealand.

I’m going to save Invictus Games coverage for later in the day, so see you back here then 🙂
