The Duke of Cambridge is off on his working visit to Kenya, Namibia and Tanzania, which kicks off tomorrow and will last until September 30. The trip is on behalf of Tusk, and while it’s unclear how much information will be forthcoming given that this isn’t an official tour, it’s likely that we’ll get a least some photos and updates over the next week.

Meanwhile, photos emerged today from a Saturday wedding in Norfolk in which Prince George and Princess Charlotte served as a page boy and bridesmaid, respectively. William and the Duchess of Cambridge were also on hand – the couple getting married are close, long-time friends of the family.

Kate recycled the blue Catherine Walker coat dress she debuted last summer for her arrival in Berlin during the Germany/Poland tour. This time she opted to pair it with a new hat band from Juliette Botterill  – the same general idea as the style she showcased at Prince Louis’s christening in July. I liked that coat dress when she debuted it – it’s hard to beat the color, but remain agnostic on the hat bands. Regardless, it was good to see Kate again – hard to believe it’s been a month since we caught a glimpse of her at Balmoral and over two since her Wimbledon engagements.

George

It’s still unclear when the Duchess will return to work – most are guessing October, but I think there’s at least a chance it’ll come after the Duke and Duchess of of Sussex return from their tour, or at least toward the end of the month. Either way, we should see the whole gang on October 12 for Princess Eugenie’s wedding at Windsor.

There’s some speculation as to whether Kensington Palace participated with these photographs. My guess is that while KP was well-aware photos would be taken, they didn’t facilitate them. Instead, it was probably handled somewhat akin to how Pippa Middleton’s wedding was last year – there would be public interest in the children and a few photographs outside the church are benign. I think we’ve seen this a few times now from Kate on her maternity leave, from taking the children to the horse races to the polo match over the summer. She’s making a concerted effort to pop up here and there and combat criticism while still taking a full maternity leave.

Finally, the Royal Family shared a clip of Meghan from a new documentary on the Queen that will premier on ITV on Tuesday evening called “Queen of the World.” In the video below, Meghan discusses the inclusion of all 53 Commonwealth nations’ flowers on her veil. Filming reportedly happened not long after the wedding – based on her tan, I’m guessing it was in June right around Trooping the Colour. She’s wearing a navy Roland Mouret dress first seen on the eve of the royal wedding. American viewers will be able to watch the documentary on October 1 on HBO.

And with that, I’ll return tomorrow for Harry and Meghan’s engagement with Coach Core.
